Consolata Hotel

LOCATION A 6 to 7-min walk from the Santuário. I was able to start my day with meditation in the Capelinha das Aparições and in the Basílica, before breakfast, on both of our recent visits. GARDENS The beautifully laid out gardens, with walkways, are a treasure. The only detail missing, for some strange reason, are garden benches to rest on upon one's return from, say, pilgrimage along the Via Sacra. Or even just to have a chat with fellow pilgrims. ROOM We stayed in the new wing, which is comfortable and well lit. The best feature in the room is a bedside reading light with a flexible neck. BREAKFAST Of all the hotels we stay in -- in various parts of Portugal -- Consolata serves one of the best breakfasts: plenty of fresh fruit, cold cuts, hot and cold options, homemade pancakes and cakes, several varieties of Portuguese breads (including my favourite Pão de Deus), nuts and seeds for your cereals, lactose-free milks and yoghurts, and much more. To top it all: one wall of the dining room is all glass, with a stunning view of the Basílica.

It was clean, well kept, comfortable. Liked the drinking water dispenser and the gift shop at the lobby of the hotel.

Great location. Near the sanctuary

All workers are very friendly. They always try their best to grant client's wishes and needs. In my whole stay in this Hotel, I feel like I'm at home. I would highly recommend this Hotel to my family, relatives, friends and colleagues. Moreover, this Hotel is very clean and the breakfast Buffet have a lot of variety to choose. Browser

Excellent location. The hotel is located away from the main road making it really quiet. Breakfast was good with a varied selection. We only stayed one night but will definitely return.
